National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan celebration dedicated to helping eligible voters register and make their voices heard. Join us in the SAC Plaza on Wednesday, September 16th to learn about voter registration, check your registration status, and get connected with resources to prepare for upcoming elections. Whether you’re registering for the first time or updating your information, everyone is welcome!

Join us for a panel discussion on the upcoming midterm elections with faculty from the School of Communication and Journalism, School of Social Welfare, College of Arts and Sciences, and Program in Public Health. Panelists will discuss impact of midterm elections on 2028 Presidential race, key policy implications, and the stakes in this election related to their discipline.

Nearly every state offers early voting options, whether in-person or by mail, that allow you to vote on your schedule. By learning more about the options available, you can easily incorporate voting into your daily routine and vote the way that works best for you.

Community Dialogues are round-table discussions focused on relevant social and civic topics. These events aim to engage students in today’s most challenging conversations and provide a safe space for sharing and listening. Each dialogue features background guides, interactive games, videos, and more.

Participants are encouraged to think critically about issues affecting their communities and consider the diverse perspectives and perceptions that exist within any given issue. We hope you'll join us for this important discussion over dinner!

The Stony Brook Choral Ensembles present their fall concert, "America 250: The Stories We Tell," on November 30th at 7:30 PM in the Staller Center Recital Hall. The choirs will perform works by composers and poets centering on civil rights, democracy, and the immigrant experience in the United States. Selections include arrangements of "Stand Up" from the movie "Harriet", and Paul Simon's "American Tune".

Kick off the new semester with stuff-a-plush goat plushies and YAAS Tea! Join us during the first week of school to relax, drink boba tea and prepare to vote in midterms while enjoying your new, fluffy plush.
