“Unidos Somos Más — Together We Are More!”
Join the Stony Brook University community as we celebrate 37 years of Hispanic Heritage Month at SBU!
From September 15 through November 6, we invite students, faculty, staff, departments, student organizations, and community partners to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, identities, achievements, and contributions of Latine communities.
This year’s theme, “Unidos Somos Más — Together We Are More!”, reflects the strength and possibilities that emerge when we come together, share our stories, celebrate our wide range of identities, and build meaningful connections. The Hispanic Heritage Month Committee, DICE, and campus partners will offer a variety of cultural, educational, social, and community-building programs for the Stony Brook community.
Whether you are a department, student organization, faculty or staff member, or community partner, we invite you to take part in HHM 2026. Attend a signature event, support a student organization, learn something new, share your culture, or host an event or initiative of your own. Every contribution helps make Hispanic Heritage Month a more vibrant and inclusive reflection of our community.
Whether through the arts, music and food, cultural traditions, meaningful dialogue, educational programs, academic/research opportunities, career networking, awards and scholarships, civic engagement, or simply connecting, there are many ways to celebrate, participate, and be part of HHM.
