Big Changes for Seawolves Showcase 2026! 

Due to incredible growth and an overwhelming number of talented acts across campus, Seawolves Showcase is moving to a single, application-based selection process for all performers this year.

In past years, certain groups or returning acts were invited directly without an audition. To ensure a fair, transparent, and balanced lineup that highlights the absolute best talent Stony Brook has to offer, every individual and group wishing to perform this year must submit an application and audition materials.

What You Need to Know

• Who Should Apply? Everyone! Whether you are a brand-new student act or a seasoned returning group, all performers must apply to be considered.

• How Selection Works: Submissions will be reviewed and scored by an official selection committee of Student Affairs staff, campus partners, and students.

• Key Dates & Timeline:

  • Applications Open: Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 9:00 AM

  • Submission Deadline: Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM

  • Event Date: Friday, October 16, 2026

• What’s Needed to Apply:

  • A completed online application form 

  • A video link of a recent performance or rehearsal piece. (Note: All videos must be recent and recorded within the last year).
